So i tried the highly raved about Fish & Chicks and honestly, it was a huge ass disappointment. I was actually looking forward to their food because of the many amazing reviews via Facebook and by sethlui.com (i always go on there to find cheap SG eats) the website hasn't failed me until now..
'Is it value for dollar?' Yes.
'Is it worth the hype?' No.
I like how they were very in trend and swooped in with their Salted Egg & Chili Crab flavored food once it was a thing and yes their sauce is good i mean compared to many other cafes I've been too, they serve good salted egg and chili crab sauce. But the problem lies with the fish, When i slice open the fish it just crumbles, i won't call the texture soft, now it's just weak. I ended up having to get a spoon just to finish my fish (hahahha). i also don't get whats with the hype with their fries i mean it's just pre-made fries you can get at Giant or Fairprice..
Overall i would rate this a 3/10 because their sauce is legit the bomb, but the rest (meh) i would only recommend you go to check it out if you live nearby Ang Mo Kio Blk 532 if not, don't waste the effort going all the way down.
